NAMSA, the world leader in medical device testing has immediate openings for Technologist positions, both full and part time, in our microbiology lab.  Responsibilities include performing both routine and special/non-routine sterility assurance and microbiology testing activities including, but not limited to: sterilization validation studies, pharmacopeial sterility tests, growth promotion studies, environmental monitoring, microbial identifications, bioburden and antimicrobial tests.  Applicants must be able to demonstrate technical proficiencies in multiple specialty areas within the Microbiology Lab and work with minimal supervision.  Will assist with the development of test specifications, accurately perform assigned tests and record raw data in log books and on worksheets.  Applicants must also possess the ability to analyze, calculate and interpret results.  Basic lab skills are required, i.e. pipeting, measurements of liquids and quantitative analysis.  Familiarity with medical device products a plus.  Previous knowledge of applicable FDA, USP and ISO requirements strongly desired.  Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, be highly organized, efficient in performing test methods and have previous knowledge of microbiological methods.  Data entry skills required.

Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelors degree in Microbiology or another scientific discipline and have 1-5 years related work experience.  Technologist level will depend on experience.  Must be willing to work flexible hours as needed including occasional weekends.
