Uline seeks a Telecom Architect at its Corporate Headquarters in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin (south of Milwaukee).

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Architect, design, evaluate, recommend, implement and document complex enterprise voice and call center solutions.
• Review current systems and make technical / process recommendations for improving efficiency and uptime. Constantly strive for 99.99% uptime.
• Work with telecom providers to provide best solutions at competitive pricing.
• Own the relationship with telecom providers and work with team to drive down cost and increase the SLA or uptime metric.
• Meet with internal customers to obtain and decipher requirements.
• Evaluate system utilization and traffic management in order to perform growth analysis / capacity planning.
• Develop and communicate best practices, operational procedures and design documentation.
• Provide Level 3 troubleshooting support and root cause analysis for complex problems.
• Coordinate and assist with telecommunication service implementations, system upgrades and new site implementations, if required.
• Mentor other telecom engineers.
• Travel to branch and international locations as needed.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field.
• 8+ years experience in Digital, VoIP PBX and communication technologies.
• Working knowledge of ACDs, CTI, MM, CMS and voicemail.
• Avaya experience a must.
• Vendor experience, knowledge of Telco Central Office operations.
• Programming experience on major telephony systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
