JOB DESCRIPTION : Telecom Coordinator
  • This person is the key individual in the region responsible for ordering cellular equipment, accessories and service, including cell phones, PDA phones and wireless broadband modems.
  • This individual handles all trouble tickets for cellular devices, provides limited technical support and refers users to vendor resources as appropriate.
  • Reviews and approves all cellular bills each month and makes rate plan adjustments as needed to control costs.
  • Assists Regional Telecom Manager as needed by placing service orders and move/add/change orders with local and long distance carriers as well as telephone equipment vendors.
  • Works with Accounts Payable to resolve billing issues and assure the proper cost centers are charged.
  • Schedules in-house opportunities for employees to learn about and take advantage of the Employee Purchase Plan.
  • Setting up new lines and upgrading lines as needed for larger calls.  Disconnecting lines as needed
  • Working with the Vendors and Accounts Payable to resolve billing issues to insure the correct departments are being billed for the service.
REQUIREMENTS:
Candidate should have approximately 2 years of experience with telecommunications equipment.
