ABOUT THE COMPANY:
ESCO is a $5M company with two offices, one in Westminster, Colorado serving the front range and the other in Debeque, Colorado, serving the western slope. The offices are autonomous except for back office functions. The Debeque office does about 60% HVAC and 40% controls and the front range office does 70% controls and 30% HVAC.
Most of our work is retrofit and when we are involved with any new construction, it is a result of an existing relationship with an end owner. ESCO is not geared with the people and systems necessary to be an efficient contractor competing in the new construction market. ESCO really is geared to the retrofit market. Our engineering is a combination of office engineering and field engineering with the emphasis on having good as built drawings. ESCO rarely preengineers anything because it will always change.
ESCO emphasizes the service aspect with all of our customers. It is the main reason for growth. We do not high pressure anyone and our sales technique is one of consultation in solving problems for the client and not in just making sales. The sales come as a result of helping them. ESCO also does not want to hold our customers hostage just because they have bought equipment from us. We want them to use our products and services because they want to, not because they have to.
ESCO is a loosely managed company relying on the efforts of the individuals to take the responsibility and then execute. Each individual determines what value they will be to the company by the level of effort. People work hard here but they are allowed to think and act on their own much of the time.
ESCO's staff, is as experienced as any you will have worked with. There is a lot that can be learned, both in controls as well as HVAC.
