This is a temporary assignment (approximately 3 months) in our Corporate Advertising Department. We are seeking a Project manager who has 4 + years' experience working with advertising agencies, collaborating with internal marketing groups and social/digital media.The Advertising Specialist is responsible for managing the creative development and production of advertising materials. Under supervision, the Advertising Specialist works with external advertising agencies and internal resources to develop and produce moderately complex advertising materials.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:CREATIVE DEVELOPMENT
o Manages creative development and production of advertising materials on assigned projects. Takes an active role in the development of the creative brief for each project and acts as project manager to implement from start to finish.
o Reviews creative to ensure accuracy, proper layout, etc and provides feedback to the agency prior to presenting to manager/supervisor
o Meets with management (i.e. Digital and Web Experience Managers) to discuss ad strategy and most effective media typePROJECTS
o Participates in advertising projects as needed, such as: Progressive Automotive Insurance XPrize - Coordination of Progressive's digital team and the XPrize Foundation to develop a robust online marketing program. This would potentially include Twitter, Facebook and Youtube, along with development of assets (videos and copy). This may also include the initial planning of promoting the event through live activities.
Brand Extension - Focus on expanding the brand through online efforts to include creative development, media placement and initial coordination of reporting of results.
Print Placements - This would involve the development of new print creative and coordination of requests between our media and creative group for insertion materials.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
* Requires a Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field of study preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
* 4+ years of professional experience in Advertising working on national brands.
* Ability to understand consumer research and to apply research during the creative development process.
* Strong verbal and written communications skills.
* Strong organizational skills.
* Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Powerpoint, Excel).
