Temporary Maintenance Supervisor

Land O'Lakes, a major manufacturer of dairy and agriculture products, has a temporary opening in our Carlisle, Pennsylvania facility for a day shift Maintenance Supervisor.  This assignment is expected to last for 6 months.

The temporary, day shift Maintenance Supervisor will assist the Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Supervisor in planning daily activities of the maintenance mechanics in the repair and upkeep of factory equipment including preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and providing support of all plant activities.  The temporary Maintenance Supervisor will be expected to provide leadership, training, and knowledge to the Maintenance Department as well as the Carlisle Facility.  This position reports to the Maintenance Manager.

Required competencies include:  leadership skills, supervisory skills, strong communication/interpersonal skills, decision making and problem solving skills, and the ability to plan and organize.  In addition, the candidate must possess the ability to manage conflict, align performance for success and initiate action.

We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of an Associates degree, however a Bachelors degree is preferred.  The successful candidate must have a minimum of four years experience as a Maintenance Supervisor.  Must have a wide technical knowledge including electrical, PLC, electronics, refrigeration, mechanical, machining, welding, and general construction practices.  As this is a 24/7 operation, candidate must be able to work any shift as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.  Must have good written and oral listening/communication skills as well as leadership and coaching/training skills.
