Job Purpose
The Model Office Analyst's responsibilities include testing of software/system enhancements, modifications and new releases for quality and functionality. This includes initial system testing for fixes and enhancements and regression testing. The analyst works with users to develop test plans, testing grids and identify test data. The analyst also works with developers to ensure that any changes to production software execute accurately and do not adversely impact existing production processing. The analyst also ensures that documentation for system changes exists and is adequate to describe and instruct end users of any new or corrected functionality.
Job Requirements (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience (minimum of three years experience in a Business Analyst type of position testing software applications) and/or education;
- Demonstrated ability to plan and manage major system projects;
- Demonstrated ability to write and/or interpret business requirement documents, technical designs and test plans;
- Demonstrated ability to conduct application testing using written test plan;
- Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills;
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem solving skills;
- Knowledge of Windows XP and the Internet;
- Must be proficient in MS Office Professional Products;
- Internet/Intranet testing experience;
- Exposure to automated testing tools and methodology; and
- Exposure to standard testing methodology.
Preferred Qualifications
- Financial Industry experience;
- Customer Service experience; and
- SQL knowledge.
