Temporary Rescission Reconsiderations Analyst

Description:

The Temporary Rescission Reconsiderations Analyst reviews appeal letters from PMI's customer's in response to PMI's discovery that a Loan was approved based upon fraudulent circumstances or that a First Party under the Policy was negligent in the origination of the Loan.

Responsibilities:

  • Review the original rescission letter conveying the basis of the rescission of coverage to determine if the reason for rescission was accurately and substantively conveyed to PMI's customer.
  • Review the customer's appeal letter stating the reason(s) why they are requesting reinstatement of coverage to determine if the appeal letter is accurate and substantively contains valid reasons for reinstatement of mortgage insurance by PMI.
  • Review and analyze any new or additional information provided by the customer which may support their case for reinstatement of coverage.

After reviewing the above documents and the file, the Reconsiderations Analyst will prepare a letter to the customer which defends the initial decision, or overturns the initial decision.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive Loan underwriting experience (5 or more years)
  • Previous experience in loan auditing/quality control desirable
  • Excellent written communication skills
