Based in Columbia, MD, Madison Avenue is a fast-paced, sales-driven, national company. We are looking for proven sales professionals to grow our business throughout Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC.
Whom will I get to work with?
The Madison Avenue team is led by seasoned sales professionals, innovative product developers, and expert graphic designers. Your customers will include meeting/event planners, and marketing/communications professionals. You will be calling on national and regional associations, medical and financial services companies, as well as third-party meeting and event planning organizations. Our current clients include the NBA, the American Bar Association, the American Academy of Pediatrics, Boeing, Siemens Medical, Genentech, Johnson & Johnson, Intel, Lexis Nexis, Allstate Insurance, New York Life, Goldman Sachs, Citigroup, and KPMG.
What will I get to do?
No two days are quite alike. Time management is critical. You will balance office-time with field-time. In the office, a portion of each day will be dedicated to prospecting. You will use the telephone, and sometimes email, to schedule field appointments. Some calls will be “cold” to prospects. Other calls will be “warm” to customers, tradeshow leads, and referrals. Your field-time will be spent visiting your prospects and customers in their offices. About fifteen qualified appointments per month are generally needed to support a growing territory. At an appointment you will identify needs, demonstrate products, and offer solutions in a consulting style.
