The Role


 


Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers have enjoyed tremendous sustained growth in the
U.S. market over the past few years.  In line with our strategic
growth strategy, we have a new opportunity available for customer-focused,
goal-oriented sales professionals to join us in the role of Territory
Manager, National Accounts, Finance Sector
. 


 


In this role you will be providing service to large banks and finance
companies throughout the United States, working to procure consignments to all
of our auction sites nationwide. This position requires someone who will be
attentive and proactive in handling the unique needs and requirements of these
customers. 


 


Reporting to the Houston-based Manager, National Finance Sector, these
positions may be based anywhere in the contiguous United States. 
Strong preference will be given to applicants who reside close to one of
our sale sites.

The Key Responsibilities


 


·        Promote Ritchie Bros. unreserved auction service as the best method of
disposing of excess equipment.                            


·        Achieve or exceed customer service and sales goals.
                                      


·        Develop new business for Ritchie
Bros.                                                               


·        Create alliances and secure annual contracts with major banks and finance
companies.


·        Manage the existing relationships, and build new relationships with
customers across all levels of customer organizations.      


·        Design and deliver compelling sales presentations to secure new business
or grow business with existing customers.


·        Complete equipment appraisals in collaboration with the appraisal
team.


·        Provide valuation guidance to customers and guide them to the best
markets for their equipment.


·        Ensure the appropriate sale paperwork is completed and/or obtained.


 


The Key Requirements


 


·        A sales professional with at least 5 years of experience in a quota
driven sales position, particularly a role that involved major or national
account management.


·        An excellent current working knowledge of general
construction equipment that perhaps was gained in a retail-selling environment
with an equipment distributor or through rental sales.


·        You have a professional demeanor and are comfortable
dealing with decision-makers at all levels within large corporations.


·        You have consistently exceeded goals and expectations
without ever sacrificing integrity.


·        You are proactive and have a high sense of
urgency.


·        You are a natural at developing and maintaining honest,
trust-based customer relationships.


·        You are an entrepreneurial by nature and one of your key
strengths is your ability to manage your responsibilities as though you are
managing your own business.


·        You have exceptional two-way communication
skills.


·        You are skilled at putting together and delivering
professional presentations.


·        You pay attention to the details and you are extremely
organized.


·        You are assertive but always
diplomatic.


 


Please note that this job will require you to travel to your customers
and to selected Ritchie Bros. auctions and be away from home about 50% of your
time.
