 Job Summary:


As an established sales professional, the primary responsibility of this position is account management, business development and achieving quota.  This is accomplished by the successful execution of a business plan that is driven by precise targeting and coverage of select accounts, audiences, products and programs. In addition, maintaining existing relationships and business is a key priority. The Territory Manager develops and executes monthly action plans that are in alignment with the Region, Area and National plans within assigned accounts to maximize profitable growth while at the same time building customer satisfaction.


 


Job Responsibilities:


Operational Excellence


·         Achieves territorial sales objectives in all categories.


·         Develops a Monthly Action Plan that supports the needs of their territory and region.


·         Operates with a disciplined call process; following the product and customer detail plans for their territory.


·         Regularly reviews the performance metrics of his/her territory in order to determine progress to their plan and 


·         adjusts accordingly.


·         Conscientiously works the “Sales Process” within each account


·         Implements the systematic conversion process after any new endodontic or implant system sale.


·         Maintains a comprehensive and accurate customer data base within the Contact Management System, replicating daily.


·         Develops and maintains a synergistic working relationship with the inside sales team and the entire regional team.


·         Completes and submits on a timely basis all required reports, data input requirements, requests. (ie: KPI’s, expense reports, literature and sample requests, PTO summary, etc)


 


Customer Excellence


·         Builds rapport with customers, recognizes importance of relationships.


·         Effectively and conscientiously works his/her account base through the published Sales Process.


·         Demonstrates a selling methodology that is consistent with our published Unique Value Proposition.


·         Comfortably discusses business with the customer in a confident manner.


·         Penetrates accounts and develops long-term partnerships with appropriate audiences.


·         Creates call continuity/addresses opportunities from previous calls.


·         Effective probing & listening skills – Takes detailed notes, prioritizes the needs and responds accordingly.


·         Adapts presentation to meet customer’s needs by relating specific benefits to customer’s core drivers.


·         Closes on Buying Signals – Results Oriented


·         Maintains high retention rate of customer base through delivery of outstanding service and through effective analysis of the business needs of the customer.


·         Handles and processes customer service complaints in a timely and uniform manner, according to the Product and Service Complaint Procedures.


·         Coordinates and hosts tradeshow exhibits, clinical meetings and product training sessions as assigned to build product demand.

Knowledge and Skill Set:


·         Strong verbal and written communication skills.


·         Proficiency with computers, specifically in Windows and Microsoft Office.


·         Ability to use various internal data bases and appropriate software to make presentations to customers.


·         Strong and comfortable presentation skills.


·         Demonstrated proficiency in professional direct selling skills.


·         Ability to meet divisional goals and key performance objectives/activities in accordance with established competencies and standards of behavior.


·         Ability to effectively demonstrate the core values of DENTSPLY International.


·         Ability to travel within assigned territory and to tradeshows and meetings as required.


·         Ability to assess and qualify customer needs, provide excellent customer service, analyze territorial needs, and consistently demonstrate effective selling skills.


 


Education and Experience:


·         Bachelor’s Degree in related field required.


·         3 years of successful sales experience, preferably in a health care industry. 


 


·         Frequent travel is required and will vary depending upon the specific territory.
