Test Engineer

Position Profile: The Test Engineer will develop and implement test strategies for digital, analog, video, and RF circuitry in support of the build and test of high performance data link systems and products for L-3 Communications - the sixth largest defense contractor in the United States.

Competencies: The Test Engineer will develop and implement creative and effective test methodologies on a high energy and flexible team.

Familiarity with test, integration, and validation techniques and the latest related software with demonstrated proficiency using NI LabView and TestStand to write test procedures and develop GUI interfaces.

Ability to successfully interact with Design Engineering.

Capable of working in a team environment with the ability to work independently at times with minimal supervision.

Understand analog electronics, electronics test equipment, schematics interpretation, and signal flow with a broad knowledge of digital, DSP, and RF circuitry and theory.

Demonstrated competency to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner without daily supervision.

Education/Experience: This position requires a BSEE/EET or related technical degree or equivalent related experience to off-set the degree. Basic knowledge of test equipment is required. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft applications is required.

Special Requirements:
Due to the nature of our work this position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance.

This position may require overtime, weekend, holiday and/or second shift work.

Additional Comments: This position may be filled at a higher grade based on the successful applicants skills, education and experience.
