The Good Housekeeping Research Institute, America’s foremost consumer product laboratory, is seeking a motivated, technically-driven, resourceful, detail-oriented, and creative individual to evaluate a wide range of products—from appliances and consumer electronics to textiles and home cleaning and building products.

Responsibilities for the position include generating product evaluation ideas, developing and performing appropriate testing methodology, designing and setting up any testing apparatus needed, conducting product performance and safety tests, recording results with accuracy, and preparing comprehensive reports that include product test findings as well as other relevant information related to the purchase and maintenance of these products. Other tasks include: assisting in preparing editorial content for TV and websites and responding to reader and consumer questions.

Applicants should have a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or one of the Sciences and experience in research and development, writing, and data analysis.
