Test Technician

In this position, the tester is responsible for implementation of a test plan. The tester performs the test and indicates the results and status within the appropriate reporting guidelines. The tester documents the actual results and gathers the appropriate technical software detail and enters into the designated Issue Management System. The tester will interface with subject matter experts throughout the project to provide details of the executed tests.




Areas of Responsibility

• Conduct testing on financial products in preparation for product release to customers.
• Review and comprehend business requirements and specifications.
  
• Employ software testing methodologies consistent with the requirements of the system development life cycle.
  
• Responsible for performing unit testing, integration testing, performance testing, functional testing, client acceptance testing, user interface testing using the plans, tools, and scripts developed.
  
• Facilitate the development team through diagnosis, problem recreation and prioritization.
  
• Issue tracking and communication is expected through generation of reports, as well as status of testing coverage for assigned software projects.
