Sunshine Children's Home & Rehab Center, a 44-Bed facility seeks a Certified Theraputic Activities Specialist with 2 years experience in pediatrics.

Some Essential Duties Include:

• Assists the Director in the development, coordination and ongoing evaluation of the In-patient Programs.
  
• Assist in the coordination and implementation of day to day operations of the programs. 
  
• Ensures adherence to hospital policies and procedures.
  
• Ensures all activity documentation, supports registrant’s treatment plan and completes it in a timely fashion.
  
• Provides other department staff with guidance and support.
  
• Assumes responsibility for direct patient care, as well as maintenance and safety of Program areas.
  
• Assist with delegation of tasks between activities staff. Inservices staff regarding appropriate therapeutic recreation interventions.
  
• Serve as a member of the Care Plan Team, relaying information from Team meetings to the other staff members.
  
• Coordinate fund raising activities, planning and scheduling events and raising money for trips, parties, etc. for trips, parties, etc.
  
• Ensure that all documentation is completed on a timely basis.
  
• Participate in the delivery of activities for the participants.
  
• Develops and adheres to the unit based activities calendar.
  
• Other duties as assigned.
