ABOUT THE COMPANY

Glade Run Lutheran Services (Glade Run) is located on 325 acres in rural Zelienople, Pennsylvania, approximately 25 miles north of Pittsburgh. Founded in 1854 by William Passavant as The Orphan's Home and Farm School, the organization has grown through the years to serve more than 2,400 unduplicated individuals on an annual basis in four different local offices. Glade Run serves at-risk children ages 8 to 21 through residential treatment, group homes, and St. Stephen's Lutheran Academy, our private licensed school. Children are referred to Glade Run from over 35 counties and 50 school districts throughout Pennsylvania. Last year, 398 students were served in educational programs including 188 children in therapeutic classrooms in the Pittsburgh Public School system. In-community, outpatient services are provided to more than 1,800 individuals and families each year from our offices in Butler, Beaver Falls and Pittsburgh.

Family Specialist / Therapist

Located on our main campus the Residential Treatment Facility is designed to meet the needs of youth ages 6 to 18 who have a psychiatric diagnosis and cannot be successfully maintained in their environment. Our ultimate goal is to provide an intensive therapeutic healing experience thereby enabling children and their families to live rewarding lives. Holistic counseling needs are addressed with individual, peer group and family counseling.

The Therapist / Family Specialist has a vital role within the Residential Treatment Facility ensuring the clients, families and staff are involved through out the process of decision making and ensuring success.


Requirements
A Minimum of a Masters degree in counseling, social work or other related human service field.

Minimum of one year of clinical experience in a residential setting.

At least one year experience in working with families, family structure or family therapy.

Must be able to learn and adapt to individual family‚s culture and be flexible to meet their needs.

Must be ability to lead, motivate and coach others in a fast-paced, family-focused environment.

Must have experience working with an Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.

Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Must be eligible for Act 33/34 and FBI clearances.

Must have the ability to identify with the agency Mission Statement and support the agency‚s Core Values.

* Monitor the provision of services / treatment within areas of responsibility.
* Support the Program Manager of Family Support & Clinical Services
(Residential) to ensure that aspects of agency licensure are met.
* Fiscal oversight and monitoring costs of assigned program area.
* Implement and monitor consistency and fidelity with agency values and preferred
clinical approaches
