The Therapist/Counselor must be aware of social factors affecting the psychological well being of individuals, services/programs for psychological/sociological improvement of individuals, and in conducting evaluative interviews. He/She provides individual, family, and group counseling. Establishes and maintains good working relationships with other agencies to establish reciprocal referral systems and increase awareness of available services.
Licensed Master Social Worker by the State of Texas.
Master's degree in Social Work by an accredited University or College.
Three (3) years in clinical services desired; one (1) year working with dually/multiple diagnosed.
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Push, pull and lift up to 20 lbs. Exposure to substance abuse/psychiatric patients who may exhibit viloent/aggressive behavior.
