As a Tire Service Advisor your essential job functions include the following:

• Inspecting customers’ cars on the service lane.
• Diagnosing problems tire related problems, recommending service, and quoting prices.
• Overseeing that necessary repairs are completed as ordered and priced as quoted.
• Maintaining effective customer relationships including customers and dealer personnel.
• Overseeing customer satisfaction and complaints and solving problems that arise.
• Assist in store operations: maintaining inventory, managing technicians, opening/closing the store, and reporting responsibilities.
• Assisting technicians to ensure service levels are maintained.
• Cleaning and maintaining your work area and the store.
• Adequately perform the job duties of a tire technician as needed.
• Provide team leadership to tire store technicians.
o Communicate daily work assignments, priorities, and goals.
o Coach and assist in the development of team members.
o Coordinate work assignments with internal and external customers as necessary.
o Familiarize the team with special customer needs.
o Assure the team follows standards/guidelines.
o Help keep the team focused and on track to the tasks at hand.
o Request and coordinate workspace assignments, equipment needs, and tools to maximize team performance.
o Manage vacation and time off requests from the team.
o Provide input to National Tire Store Manager and Tire Service Advisor Team Lead on individual performance of team members and staffing change needs.
o Escalate issues which cannot be resolved by the team to the Tire Service Advisor Team Lead.
o Provide direction/guidance to the team based on management direction.

Other duties as assigned.

Drug Policy

• Dealer Tire is a drug-free environment. All applicants being considered for employment must pass a pre-employment drug screening before beginning work.
• There will be random drug testing for all Dealer Tire Store associates.



Requirements:

Position requirements:

• Two or three years of tire service experience, preferably in or from a retail tire service environment.
• Excellent verbal communication skills with strong customer service orientation.
• Meet the requirements of Dealer Tire’s Motor Vehicle Record Policy and Company Vehicle Fleet Policy.
• Proficient computer skills to include experience with MS Office and online order management applications.

Physical job requirements:

• Standing for long periods of time.
• Frequent bending, crouching, and twisting.
• Lifting at least 75 pounds.
• Comply with the Dealer Tire Store dress code policy.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays as necessary.
