We have an immediate need for a Tivoli Consultant.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Advanced skills in configuring and operating a Tivoli environment including AIX server configuration, device management and tape reclamation.
- Experience and understanding in installation, support and troubleshooting of Tivoli Clients with skills in the following OSs
- Windows Server
- Linux (Redhat, SUSE, etc)
- NetWare
- Be able diagnose problems and recommend solutions to current backup schedules and methods.
- Be able to work with a team to migrated the current TSM environment from version 5 to version 6.
- Be able to mentor and train others in Tivoli best practices and processes.
- Have knowledge of tape libraries and VTL's and optimization of backup storage pools.
- Time period to be determined once schedule is complete (estimated at 12 - 16 wks)
- Preference given to those with experience in AIX and both Tivoli versions 5.x and 6.x. Also preference given to those who have migrated TSM from AIX to Linux.
