Position:  Tools and Automation Developer

EXPERIENCE

The following are job requirements:

            - a BSCS or equivalent with 5+ years of experience

            - fluent in French and English

            - expert Java and Perl Programmer

           - experience programming in C/C++/OOP

The following would be advantages to the successful candidate:

            - familiarity with Flash programming

           - experience in testing, test organization and planning

           - experience architecting database tables

RESPONSIBILITIES

This position reports in to the Advanced Development Center.   This group is responsible for creating, testing, and maintaining a distribution of re-usable software tools and automation libraries that will be shared throughout Thomson's products.  The initial focus is on the products with embedded software (e.g., STBs, Home Gateways, Media Gateways).   We are looking for a highly motivated software engineer who can develop distributed, Linux-based software applications/components to automate various test equipment and software. Selected candidate will be responsible both for developing new components as well as enhancing/maintaining existing components.  The successful candidate would have previous experience developing software test tools.
