LCL Traffic Services Manager


 


International Shipping Company is searching for an LCL Traffic Manager to join our Miami facility.  This position will Manage all aspects of LCL Traffic for all ports and countries in which Company conducts LCL business.  This position will oversee the creation of all traffic export documents for sea and air transport in accordance with local and international laws and regulations, oversee all communications to and from customers and agencies and creates and implements work processes to improve productivity and reduce costsTo be considered for this position you MUST have a bachelor's degree, minimum five (5) years experience in the transportation industry, including a minimum of three (3) years management or supervisory experience.  Minimum three (3) years freight forwarding experience.


 


Primary Duties




  • Analyzes LCL Traffic work processes to develop efficient, cost effective methods of handling volume flow from  foreign country expansion.


  • Evaluates cost effectiveness of current business methodology and implements measures to increase productivity and customer satisfaction.


  • Selects, hires and trains Traffic personnel implementing processes to motivate and retain employees.  Creates strategic work succession processes for career development of Traffic employees and managerial staff.   Facilitates employee development, providing coaching and feedback.


  • Develops performance standards for all personnel and reviews staff performance evaluations.  Serves as decision-making authority for all performance management issues.


  • Analyzes services failures and creates quality processes to eliminate same. Facilitates communication flow with destination ports, agencies, and other Company departments to focus on and resolve customer issues.


  • Creates and implements corporate traffic policies and procedures for all LCL traffic personnel. 


  • Monitors work processes to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards. Monitors changing market demands and regulatory environments of local and destination agencies proposing changes in business operations as needed.  This includes but is not limited to:  tariffs, customs, and port rules and regulations.


  • Prepares and administers budget for Traffic operating expenses.   Administers the Traffic revenue budget.
