Job Description:
This position is an intermediate level training position responsible for acquiring expert knowledge of Epic clinical applications, working independently in completing project tasks and executing the following tasks as part of the clinical systems implementation: development of lesson plans and training materials to deliver training to physicians, nursing, technicians and ancillary staff. This position will also be responsible for reviewing completed lesson plans and materials for accuracy and completeness as well as working closely with the application team in order to ensure the training program adequately delivers the key elements necessary for adequate client use of system. In addition this position requires the ability to independently interact with clients and demonstrate critical thinking and follow through when developing solutions to identified issues. Key Accountabilities: *Successfully achieve certification in primary application assigned as determined by Epic Course Catalog *Successfully complete Epic training courses including the following as described by Epic Course Catalog: TED 801, TED 102, TED 802, and TED300 *Optionally complete the following courses as directed by training manager: TED 805, ELN 200, TED300 and TED 803 *Demonstrates professional behavior when interacting with clients and coworkers *Demonstrate ability to write lesson plans, syllabus, training materials and assessments *Conduct end-user training in a class room setting as well as one-on-one sessions *Develop and maintain training environments *Support end-users via on-site support, telephone, or pager coverage *Work with application team through the entire life cycle of the implementation to become knowledgeable in decisions affecting use of the system and specific configuration for each implementation *Assist as needed with design and build of the system *Apply in depth system understanding to current issues and design challenges in order to develop alternative solutions with pro and con analysis *Demonstrate ability to understand not only tasks assigned but to anticipate ongoing work and take ownership of entire process 2 Positions V395, V399
Job Qualifications:
*One to two years experience delivering training classes with 10-12 staff in clinical healthcare discipline, or demonstrated equivalent experience *Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience *Experience in working on medium to large sized systems projects in a technology-driven environment *Excellent analytical, communication and organizational skills *Proficient in MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Visio and MS Powerpoint *Team-player who creates a positive team environment *Proven ability to work on a variety of projects *Possess self awareness and the ability to utilize constructive feedback to improve performance *Experience working independently and demonstrated accountability for groups of tasks or processes Desirable: *Experience with the Epic Ambulatory software or other clinical systems *Baseline knowledge of MS Project Mount Sinai Medical Center is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
