A world-leading provider of petroleum training courses is in need of experienced oil and gas Engineers with Facilities experience to contract as Trainers. Courses are hosted by major oil companies worldwide, and you would travel to teach courses for typically 1 to 2 weeks at a time, 10 to 15 times per year. Excellent pay including travel and standby days, and all travel expenses and remote living expenses are paid. Responsibilities - Leveraging your extensive gas processing facilities engineering experience, present training on any number of industry topics, to an audience of industry professionals who run the full range of experience and job titles
- Some courses will target Operators, others will target Petroleum, Chemical, and Mechanical Engineers most likely with on the job Facilities experience of from 1 to 5 years
- Presents an overview of a variety of facilities functions
- Respond to trainee questions with skill and tact, and help them understand the material
- Assist other trainers as needed in presentation of topics
- Evaluate trainees on their comprehension of the training received, and award certifications accordingly
- Extensive training is provided before you are required to run a training program on your own
- Travel is to locations worldwide, particularly Eastern Europe, Africa, South America
Requirements - At least 15 years varied and broad experience in gas processing Facilities Engineering and process management
- Extensive experience presenting training on gas processing and other topics, to a varied audience
- Excellent communications skills, willingness to learn, teachable nature and excellent skills dealing with people of various cultures and backgrounds
- BS or higher in Engineering discipline
- Training is presented at various sites worldwide, so you must be comfortable with travel, dealing with various cultures and people, working through communications issues and other problems as they arise
- Bilingual capabilities are a plus
