Our National Security Global Business is currently seeking a Training, Education and Exercise Planner to support the Senior Leadership Training, Education, and Analysis (SLTEA) Program for the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) and United States Northern Command (USNORTHCOM). This position is located at PETERSON AFB, CO, USA.

POSITION DESCRIPTION
This professional will be required to apply in-depth, senior-level experience in planning, coordinating, organizing and executing senior-level seminars, conferences and table top exercises on a very wide variety of topics. Qualified candidates will have an understanding of Homeland Security and Homeland Defense doctrine, the National Response Framework, U.S. interagency organizations, and U.S. Military structures. Competitive candidates will have excellent public speaking skills, facilitation skills, writing skills, and demonstrated experience in dealing with senior military, government and private sector officials.
The SLTEA program's mission is to identify and address those sensitive areas which can cause difficulties for NORAD-USNORTHCOM in the execution of its mission of defending the homeland. The individual will need to be able to address DoD, other government agencies (local, state, federal and international) and private sector as to their roles & responsibilities in mitigating all kinds of natural and man-made disasters. The Battelle team is responsible for organizing exercises and seminars, bringing together a wide variety of DoD, government and private organizations to foster understanding of the issues they will be dealing with, to build the working relationships that are crucial for success, and to draw on the expertise of other national and international authorities. As part of the Battelle team you will be responsible to identify and help clarify lines of authority, refine decision making processes, and identify actions that must be taken to improve overall disaster prevention and response capabilities in workshops, seminars, table top exercises and exercises.

The Battelle team is responsible for all facets of the SLTEA program to include topic development, refinement of objectives and major focus areas, scenario development, invitations, protocol, arranging for expert guest speakers, event facilitation & moderation, distilling "significant findings," staff coordination & correspondence, After Action Reports, and various logistical & administrative tasks associated with these events.

THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS MUST BE MET TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION:

- BA/BS degree (or equivalent) in Homeland Security, Business Administration, Public Administration, Political Science or related field
- Knowledge of the National Response Framework and NIMS.
- Understanding of U.S. Military organizations and authorities
- Familiarity NORAD and USNORTHCOM roles and responsibilities
- Understanding of Defense Support of Civil Authorities (DSCA) concepts and procedures
- Excellent oral communication and writing skills
- Instruction and facilitation experience.
- Active Secret security clearance/eligibility required

THE FOLLOWING IS DESIRED, BUT NOT REQUIRED TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION:
- MA/MS degree (or equivalent) in Homeland Security, Emergency Management, Business Administration, Public Administration Political Science or related field
- Five or more years experience in operations, training and exercise support to DOD clients.
- Experience in operational planning and international policy development, national military strategy and joint policy and doctrine
- Experience working with U.S. interagency organizations
- Active TS security clearance/eligibility preferred
