Our growing company is currently seeking an Training Manager for our Birmingham, AL location.
Summary of Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Administers human resources policies and programs for site location.
- Responsible for ensuring positive associate relations and problem resolution, and policy and regulatory compliance. Responsible for developing and delivering retention initiatives to enhance the overall work experience for all Associates to enhance employee morale and retention.
- Provides new hire orientation, salary and benefits administration, and separation processes.
- Responsible for HR file management and HRIS administration.
- Supports talent acquisition initiatives as needed.
- Provides training, guidance and counsel to the management team on interpretation and application of HR policies and programs.
- Ensures positive company image and community involvement.
Typical Qualifications:
Experience Target:
- Generally 5 or more year’s progressively responsible experience as a Human Resources Manager or Generalist in a leadership role with demonstrated ability to manage others.
- Demonstrated experience in associate relations, problem and conflict resolution.
- Experience demonstrating extensive knowledge, interpretation and application of employment laws.
- Experience delivering HR training programs.
Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills including verbal and written communications skills, presentation and training skills, facilitation skills, listening skills and negotiation skills.
- Customer service focused. Strong problem solving/consulting skills.
- Success in developing and making compelling written/oral proposals.
- Excellent time management skills with planning and organizing skills, especially prioritizing multiple projects/tasks. Good PC skills with demonstrated ability to use a variety of software packages including HRIS and Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook with the ability to assimilate present and analyze data as needed.
