JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- May re-write assembly and test procedures in the field as necessary.
- May have the opportunity to visit US and foreign military bases overseas to conduct training.
- Must be able to work well within a team environment, communicating with senior leadership as well as mentoring junior staff.
- Must have excellent commitment to quality training, including ensuring a consistent implementation training standards.
- Duties include monitoring student performance, improving training curriculum, and mentoring other students and trainers on their performance.
- May assist in Business Development as needed, working closely with Training Manager.
- Will be based out of an office located in Huntsville, Alabama, but will travel extensively to isolated locations at military bases throughout the US.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND BACKGROUND
- High School diploma and some college level coursework.
· Prefer either an Associate Science Degree in Electrical/Electronics, Mechanical Design/Fabrication, or Aeronautics or NCO certifications Military Vocational instructor ratings (AAS Instructor) generally acquired through either a Community College, DeVry type school or equivalent military schools.
- Candidates should have at least 5+ years of military experience, or equivalent training experience in an aircraft or aerospace manufacturing firm.
- Should have a solid understanding of military tactics, operations, GPS and Navigation utilizing map and compass.
- Prior military instructor/Special Operations experience highly desirable: Prefer Special Forces, SEAL, Special Tactics, Ranger, Force Recon, Scout, Forward Observer, TACP, or Aviation backgrounds.
- Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Access, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Because of various out-of-area training requirements, candidate must be available to work overtime and may be required to work on both short term and long term deployments away from home.
- Must be a demonstrated team player, and have held, or be eligible to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance requiring US Citizenship with current passport.
· Prior hobby experience with Remote Controlled (RC) aircraft helpful but not required.
- Ability to lead, train and mentor small groups of students in meeting course objectives.
· Must have outstanding Leadership, Managerial and Organizational skills, and should have excellent presentation inter-personal skills.
· Should have outstanding oral and written communication skills.
· Must have strong analytical skills with which to solve various degrees of complex problems.
· Should be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds as well as objects of varying sizes for shipment to & set up at various customer training sites.
· Should be accustomed to isolation and is expected to work long irregular hours, weekends and holidays and in difficult situations, environments and watches.
This position requires you have access to data and technology that is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Applicants cannot be hired until they are qualified to have such access.
