Huntsman has an immediate opening for a Training Specialist at our Freeport, Texas facility.
Key Accountabilities:
Ø Identifies, defines, plans, develops, schedules, conducts, or directs all training activities for plant; including developmental, required regulatory, safety related, process operations, maintenance crafts, new employee orientation, quality requirements, technical, etc.
Ø Documents and maintains records of all employee training activities, including evaluation testing.
Ø Formulates and tracks training resource requirements by:
o Developing and controlling annual Training expense budget;
o Forecasting and measuring annual manpower of training;
o Evaluating the effectiveness of Plant Training Programs.
Ø Coordinates and directs the maintenance and use of plant training facilities and equipment.
Ø Prepares, presents, or directs presentations to various community groups or plant visitors, as required.
Ø Implements quality procedures as defined by Freeport Plant's Quality System for ISO 9002 requirements.
Ø Represents the Huntsman Improvement Team, assists Continuous Improvement teams, provide training and support for team problem solving.
Ø Responds to audits and inspections from various governmental agencies regarding training of plant employees.
Ø Provides information on qualifications, re-qualifications, and training needs to Production Supervisors and Managers.
Ø Conducts internal audits for ISO 9002 requirements.
Ø Maintains a library of Operating Procedures for all plant processes.
Ø Ability to measure return on investment for training.
Ø Develops training plans, assessments and materials.
Ø Ability to perform GAP Analysis and develop training development plans.
Ø Ability to develop on-boarding plans.
Ø Performs other assignments as directed by the Manager, Human Resources.
Educational Requirements & Work Experience:
Ø A high school diploma or equivalent is required
Ø A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
Ø 2-5 years chemical plant training experience is required
Special Requirements & Qualifications:
Ø Must have experience in administering Online Learning Management systems and in development of Online Training Modules.
Ø Must have general knowledge of plant operations and maintenance functions, experience in both is desirable.
Ø Must be proficient in oral and written communications, especially presentation skills.
Ø Must be knowledgeable in the use of visual aid equipment.
Ø Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
