Essential Functions:
This position is responsible for development and implementation of departmental training and other educational programs for both existing and new employees. Training specialist will be responsible for identifying departmental and individual training needs and developing appropriate training materials and training manuals to support those needs. Position will also be responsible for supporting and assisting,as needed, with training for TWM and AEGONUSA initiatives, such as Integrity Ed.
* Develop job specific training for all postions within Group Billing. This should include training on ways to analyze and research billing problems and questions.
* Create training manuals for each specific function and keep manuals updated as changes occur in processing and/or systems.
* Provide direct training to individuals or groups of employees in a classroom environment.
* Identify, monitor and track key training areas for each employee, giving regular feedback to supervisory and management team on an individual basis.
* Act as a liaison and provide communication to all other departments as needed when procedures and processes change within Group Billing.
* Establish criteria and process for troubleshooting on training issues.within the department as well as in concert with other departments.
* Document and track employee participation in training initiatives, assisting supervisors in development of individual training plans.
* Take an active role in finding more efficient ways of processing and develop training needed to accomplish desired results. Ability to take creative and innovative approaches to solving problems in processing business.
* Promote and support active participation by employees in industry coursework through HIAA and LOMA

Qualifications:
Required skills, characteristics, experience, education and pre-employment testing requirements:
* High School diploma or equivalent required.
* AA or BA degree in Education, Training, Organizational Development or related field is strongly preferred.
* 1-2 years training experience insurance or other related business background strongly preferred.
* 1-2 years of insurance experience preferred. HIAA and/or LOMA coursework desirable or a willingness to participate in these courses to expand industry knowledge desirable.
* Previous teaching, training, or quality improvement experience with adult learners desired.
* Experience in design and delivery of training presentations highly desired.
* Knowledge of MS Office products such as Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook desirable
* Working knowledge of internal operating systems such a Cyberlife, Federal, Mantis and UAPP required and a willingness to learn and document use of other tools such as Expedite, AWD, and Translator.
* Working knowledge of InfoMapping documentation development software desirable.
* Working knowledge of general ledger and accounting systems helpful.
