Training Specialist II / Spanish Instructor

This position is located in our GA, Brunswick facility



General Dynamics is seeking to hire a Part Time On Call Spanish Instructor. Work location is the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Brunswick GA.

GENERAL SUMMARY: Perform Spanish Language Instructor duties at the Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE), Department of Removal Operations (DRO) Academy in Brunswick, GA. DRO Academy is a part of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC).

PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Conducts Spanish Language Training Sessions using customer approved curriculum;
2. Adheres to course content and objectives;
3. Maintains records of training activities, participant progress, and program effectiveness;
4. Maintains current knowledge of Foreign Language teaching methodologies;
5. Performs course administration duties as assigned. Course administration includes (but not limited to) entering test scores, reviewing homework, plus grading tests and quizzes;
6. Provide support for ICE DRO Language Lab during language laboratory operating hours;
7. Participates in special projects as required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

1. Typically requires 2-5 years of directly related training experience;

2. Bachelor's Degree in Foreign Languages, Education, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

1. Native speaker of Spanish or Fluent in Spanish Level 4 of the Federal Interagency Roundtable.

2. Knowledge of Foreign Languages and teaching methodologies;

3. Demonstrated effective presentation and communication skills.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. Attend GDIT Train - the - Trainer (TTT) session prior to teaching

2. Adhere to all DRO and FLETC standards of conduct.


Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Homeland Security clearance. United States Citizenship is a requirement.
