We are seeking a qualified Training Specialist - Machine Operations to join our Manufacturing team at our world headquarters in Perrysburg, OH.

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is accountable for developing, delivering, and maintaining mechanical maintenance training programs for hot-end equipment to meet the needs of the glass plants. 

The scope of the training programs under the authority of this training coordinator include mechanical maintenance and safety procedures for hot end equipment.  The training coordinator will identify the training needs of manufacturing and propose new training courses.  Upon approval, the coordinator will lead the development and implementation of these courses. 

Drawing from knowledge of existing equipment and extracting information on new equipment from R&D engineers, the Training Coordinator will work with a technical writer and training specialist to develop training programs.  Training will be focused on plant maintenance personnel, but will also be provided to service engineers and regional support personnel.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Identifying training needs and propose training development opportunities
2. Query R&D engineers for information on new equipment
3. Develop training on proper maintenance and safety procedures
4. Deliver training that establishes proficiency in proper maintenance procedures
5. Update course material to reflect latest designs, best practices and improvements based on course evaluations

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High school diploma
2. 5+ years machine repair/hot end experience
3. Experience delivering technical training to production associates, engineers, and plant support personnel

PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Associates degree
