Ernst & Young's 1,200-person U.S. and Canadian Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) offers companies professional transaction experience, from the strategic analysis phase of the transaction lifecycle, through execution, to transaction integration.
Our Transaction Real Estate practice provides real estate analytical services and other business advisory services to developers, builders, investors, lenders and Fortune 500 companies. As we continue to enhance our strong leadership position in the real estate industry, we currently have a career opportunity in our Transaction Real Estate team for a Senior Analyst.
Responsibilities
Serve as a member of multiple client engagement teams. Participate in real estate advisory engagements in a fast-paced, service-oriented business environment. Engagements include financial analyses, cash flow modeling, property/portfolio modeling, analytical model reviews, loan portfolio underwriting, market due diligence, asset valuations, real estate appraisals and appraisal reviews, and other general real estate advisory services. We are involved in the analysis of a variety of property types including multi-family residential, office, retail, hotel, warehouse, industrial, mixed-use, infrastructure, and special-use properties.
Specific responsibilities include financial and cash flow modeling, property/portfolio modeling, market information research, real estate documents analysis (including site/building plans, leases, appraisals, and mortgage underwriting/lending documents), market studies, and report writing. Participate in sales/marketing pursuit opportunities, interface directly with clients, and manage junior staff.

To qualify, candidates must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in real estate, accounting, finance or business; master's degree preferred
  • 3-6 years of relevant real estate experience
  • Ongoing education and progress towards obtaining professional accreditations such as the MAI, CPA, ASA, etc. are pluses
  • Experience in creating complex financial models (cash flow/property/portfolio modeling)
  • Background in commercial real estate loan underwriting, acquisition due diligence, real estate valuation, asset management or analytics- based hospitality consulting.
  • Strong analytical skills and computer modeling skills
  • Advanced Excel and Word abilities
  • Experience using ARGUS and Access
  • Spanish and/or Portuguese language skills strongly preferred
