Wanted translator—Traditional Chinese (freelance position)
Wizards of the Coast is looking for a highly talented and motivated Traditional Chinese translator to join our international team of freelance game translators. The ideal candidate would have an eye for detail, an interest in game mechanics, and a love of science fiction/fantasy worlds.
Responsibilities include:
· Translate Magic: The Gathering games and game support content from English into Traditional Chinese.
· Coordinate technical reviews of translations with an assigned Magic judge.
· Resolve queries on game content with Magic R&D staff.
· Maintain and update translation memories and a Master Glossary.
· Proof typeset PDFs.
Requirements
· Native fluency in Traditional Chinese
· Excellent English language skills
· Work experience as a professional translator, preferably using Computer Aided Translation (CAT) tools such as SDLX or Trados.
· Passion for Trading Card Games (TCGs)
· Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
· Ability to accept and learn from feedback
Also looking for
· Experience with Wizards of the Coast games.
· Experience with game localization
