| Responsibilities | |
| ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but is not necessarily limited to the following: Develop and grow specialized transmission line design group including standard processes and deliverables. May serve as project manager for design-build transmission line projects. Define design criteria, conceptual design, design calculations and insulation design for projects. Perform and/or oversee routing studies and conductor selection studies for various projects. Proficient in the design and specification of wood and steel poles as well as lattice steel towers. Prepare specifications for the procurement of transmission line materials and structures. Develop cost estimates, schedules and budgets for projects. Provide engineering support to resolve technical issues that may arise in the different project phases. Provide technical direction, guidance and training to junior engineers. Some fieldwork may be required. | |

| COMPUTER SKILLS To perform this job successfully, the individual should be familiar with a basic level of proficiency of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, Power Point). Demonstrated expert knowledge in the PLS-CADD suite of design software tools is required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) in electrical engineering or civil engineering from an ABET accredited four-year college or university program. This position requires a minimum of ten years experience in transmission line design engineering. A Professional Engineer license is preferred. Candidate must have knowledge of applicable federal, state, local laws, regulations and the National Electric Safety Code | |
