Job DescriptionWe are preparing for the 2010 construction inspection season and are seeking experienced transportation inspectors for projects in various PennDOT districts within the Commonwealth. Anyone with PennDOT experience is encouraged to apply. Please specify in your resume which PennDOT districts you are willing to work in.
- Inspection of major roadway and bridge projects; testing of soils, concrete, and bituminous paving
- Calculation of quantities for estimate payments
- Review of construction schedules, and follow PennDOT documentation procedures
- Oversee, inspect, monitor contractual field work, CDS/NextGen operations, schedules work and inspection phases
- Recommends changes to construction plans to meet field conditions and provide project cost saving
- Maintain project records, prepare work orders, and monthly estimates
Required Skills
High School diploma. At least 1 year of transportation construction inspection experience. Certification in at least one of the following: NICET, NECEPT, ACI / PCPC, and CDS / NextGen (field office).
