Overview of Responsibilities:

The purpose of this position is to set up the PA Turnpike East Regional field office for a Turnpike Connector project (I-276 and I-95 Interchange). We are looking for a transportation construction inspector with PennDOT/PA Turnpike field office experience.

*This position will be on-site in Trevose, PA and is a field office position. 

• Act as the assistant to the on-site resident engineer
• Assist with and manage the organization of construction documents and construction documentation
• Set-up and management of the PA Turnpike East Regional office specifically using CDS NextGen and Autodesk Constructware
• Comply with the client and project specific overtime requirements
• Meet with client project engineer/manager/supervisor or consultant manager/supervisor daily to receive instructions and assignments, as required
• Complete project specific assignments (PSA's)
• Assure quality of all project work

  Note: above duties will vary based on the client project manager's directions and instructions

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year experience with CDS NextGen software and specific related office administration including:
  • Filing, management and organization of all construction documents
  • 1 year experience setting up PennDOT/PA Turnpike field office
  • MS Office (Word and Excel)
• High school diploma
• Certification in CDS / NextGen (field office) OR experience using Autodesk Constructware software

Candidates who have experience with Autodesk Constructware software should make sure it is well documented in the resume submitted for this position.

• Two years of construction inspection experience
• Minimum of 1 year experience with CDS NextGen software and specific related office administration
• Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to read and interpret plans and specifications, measure and calculate quantities, and perform quality control testing on highway materials.
