Michael Baker Jr. Inc., a division of Michael Baker Corporation, seeks a Transportation Construction Services Manager / Practice Builder (Technical Manager III)  for our Arlington, Texas Office.

The Transportation Construction Manager/Practice Builder will be responsible for the overall office/state/regional West Transportation Construction Services (CS) business plan for growth, profitability and project performance.  Provides coordination for CS initiatives and marketing of CS for other Baker service lines.  Coordinates with regional Transportation management and National Director of CS.  Assists with revenue flow and growth within the company's transportation construction services business.  Other duties as assigned.

 

This position offers the opportunity to grow regionally and nationally .

 

The Transportation Construction Manager is responsible, through subordinate construction personnel, for overall management direction of several construction projects.

 

Requirements:

  • 4 Year degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
  • Minimum 15 years of related experience in Transportation with TxDOT / NTTA; established related client relationships
  • Understanding of CS markets outside DOT and Texas.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to generate business opportunities with existing and  perspective clients in the CS market
  • Texas  P.E.,
  • Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, Power Point and Primavera Scheduling Software

 

Preferences:

  • CCM desirable
  • Design/Build Experience
  • Claims Avoidance/Mitigation Experience
