Transportation Coordinator - Office Manager

About the Job

Have a minimum of 2 - 3 years experience in transportation & logistics and looking to learn more?  Have not been able to progress further in your career?  We are looking for you.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Hire Drivers for drive-away services furnished to our Fortune 500 clients' executives.
  • Route and direct drivers for excellent use of time and expenses and outstanding client services.
  • Coordinate pick-up and delivery times for clients - advising clients and our home office on status.
  • Track profitability of services, submit reports, work with home office (Virginia), submit invoices and update status of shipments.
  • Respond and resolve issues from clients, home office, drivers and other personnel in a timely and effective manner.
  • Assist with sales - existing and new clients.

Job Requirements:

 

  • Independent, decision-making skills
  • Some logistics experience and willing to learn
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge & Ability to track profit and expenses
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs - esp. Excel (above basic skills)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to evaluate, help and motivate people
