The City of Ames, Iowa is seeking a Transportation Planner to develop federal and state planning documents that meet Ames Area Metropolitan Planning Organization’s (AAMPO) requirements and guidelines. Works with the AAMPO management team and staff to develop coordinated transportation plans for the Ames area.  Salary range: $48,518 - $70,932 plus comprehensive benefits.

Bachelor’s degree in civil/transportation engineering, community development planning, economics, environmental engineering, mathematics, regional planning, transportation planning or urban planning and two years of experience in a transportation related field or equivalent required.  Transportation Planner certification preferred.
