This position is located in the Marshall Islands. You must be willing to relocate single status.
JOB DUTIES:
- Provides documentation and handling support to insure proper movement of outbound shipments develops reports, assists with physical cargo handling as noted below.
- Manifests outgoing air cargo shipments utilizing the AMC GATES program to process military air shipment documentation, track/trace incoming and outgoing shipments, and prepare manifests and reports as required. Supports receipt and delivery process for cargo received, if required.
- Prepares Ocean Cargo Manifests and supporting documentation, utilizing the SDDC WPS program and other software systems. May assist with loading containers for outgoing freight and off loading/receipt for incoming container freight.
- Will be certified to provide technical support to ensure proper handling/packaging and movement of Hazardous Materials.
- Coordinates with Packing & Crating and other warehouse staff to control and prioritize shipments of government cargo and personal effects.
- Provides counseling and documentation support for movement of household goods (HHG) to DOD and Contractor personnel.
- Maintains logs/files and provides various reports.
- May provide physical support to warehouse shipping and receiving function and various vessel operations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
· Required:
· Must be computer literate, with a working knowledge of Microsoft office, and have the ability to learn various new computer programs.
· Must have a valid driver’s license.
· Ability to properly/safely lift up to 30 lb’s.
· Knowledge of transportation of HAZMAT via AMC and commercial air and SDDC and commercial surface.

· Entry level knowledge of the GATES/WPS and KEAMS programs.
· Should be HAZMAT Certified. If not will obtain after assignment to this position.
· Should have training required to get access to the Flight Line.
· Forklift operator’s license to 15K desired.

EXPERIENCE (Years):

- Shall have at least 2 years work experience in a government transportation environment. Administrative skill may be a substitute.
EDUCATION:

- Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to read, write and perform basic mathematical tasks and comprehend written instructions in English.
