We are currently searching for a Travel Data Application Developer to work in our office located in Trevose, PA.    

 

Responsibilities include:

 

  • Develop and support .NET software applications as per instruction, while following appropriate procedures
  • Follow specifications, plans and designs in order to analyze complex and business critical software solutions
  • Utilize appropriate software engineering best practices, individually or in concert with a project team
  • Understand and consistently apply the attributes and processes of current best practice development methodologies
  • Write code and documentation in a timely manner in order to complete a task
  • Research and maintain knowledge in emerging technologies and possible application to the business
  • Work closely with management team in coordinating team tasks and deliverables
  • Work closely with Architect, Lead Developers and Lead Designers to follow the technical standards and share knowledge with team
  • Perform support development tasks on a daily basis at the same time as product development tasks

 

Qualifications include:

 

·         Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Systems, other related degree preferred, or equivalent work experience

·         Ability to work both independently and as part of team of developers

·         Understanding of software development methodologies and concepts

·         Excellent written and verbal communication and time management skills - there will be interaction with employees at all levels

·         Must be able to adhere to a production schedule defined in cooperation with management and other team members

  • Ability to drive a problem to solution given little information – to debug a process from client application to business tier and all the way to database stored procedures

 

Minimum 2 years each required:

  • Microsoft .NET development technologies
    • .NET Framework 2.0 or higher
    • C#
    • ADO.NET
  • SQL Server 2005 or 2008
    • T-SQL
    • Stored procedures
    • SSIS
  • XML technologies
  • High-volume OLTP environment development, support, and troubleshooting

 

Minimum 2 years each strongly preferred:

  • Travel industry data sources and standards
    • GDS API’s and tools
    • OTA standards
  • Automated B2B data transfer process development
  • SQL Server database design
  • .NET Web Services development
  • Source code control systems (Visual Studio Team Edition preferred)

 

1 year preferred:

  • SQL Server database administration
  • Third-party tools
    • XMLSpy
    • MapForce
    • Red Gate
    • Encryption (PGP, etc)
    • .NET Reflector
    • Bug tracking and ticketing systems
    • BizTalk
  • Multi-tier & distributed application development
