Treasury Management Business Analyst II

General Purpose:

 

Has overall responsibility for system application analysis in Treasury Management Services (TMS).  Acts as a liaison between IT and TMS to define business requirements and/or problems and initiates maintenance of existing programs or design of a new application.

 

Essential Functions:

 

Analysis and Solution Definition

¨       Understands organization’s direction, structure and requirements.

¨       Documents and analyzes required information and data.

¨       Prepares project-related requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations.

¨       Develops project-related functional specifications and system design specifications.

 

Technical Recommendations and Testing

¨       Understands technical design specifications.

¨       Plays a lead role in the planning, testing and implementation of new systems, system enhancements and conversions.

¨       Leads testing efforts, defines test conditions, develops accurate and complete test plans, and conducts testing according to plan.

¨       Ensures issues are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner.

¨       Identifies and documents system deficiencies and recommends solutions.

¨       Works with business unit to identify required changes.

¨       Communicates needed changes to technical/project team.

¨       Partners with IT area in the research and resolution of system and process problems.

 

Project Execution

¨       Assists in enforcement of project deadlines and schedules.

¨       Takes input from supervisor and appropriately and accurately applies comments/feedback.

¨       Understands the necessity of project standards and applies them consistently.

¨       Understands expectations that were set with business unit and recognizes when issues/events may affect delivery.

 

Other Functions:

 

¨       Exercises awareness in regard to suspicious activity, money laundering or fraudulent behavior as it relates to cash transactions, new account relationships, international wires and overall transaction activity and documents any such behavior so SAR filings can be considered.

¨       Ensures compliance with all regulations including but not limited to BSA, Reg D, Reg E, Reg P, Reg CC, Reg DD and unclaimed Properties.

¨       Other duties as assigned.

 

Job Qualifications:

 

Knowledge, Skill and Ability:

 

¨       Working knowledge of HTML, SQL, and database design.

¨       Understanding in the area of Internet, Intranet, Extranet and client/server architectures.

¨       Understanding of how legacy and web-based systems interface with each other.

¨       Understanding in the areas of application programming, database and system design.

Education or Formal Training:  

 

¨       Bachelor degree in a business related field (or equivalent work experience, which is defined as a minimum of five years experience in banking and/or business analysis).

Experience:

 

¨       Minimum five years experience in banking and/or system/application management.

¨       Proven previous customer service experience.

  

Working Environment / Physical Requirements/Activities:

 

General office environment; therefore, must have the ability to operate bank office machines/equipment with hands and the ability to use and type on computer keyboard.  Must also have the physical ability to use the telephone.  Must understand questions/concerns raised by parties involved, in person and over the telephone.  Must be able to read job-related documents.  Must have the physical ability to stoop, bend and lift up to a maximum of ten pounds.  Must have the ability to transport self to on-site client meetings.
