Position Summary:
OptumHealth Care Solutions is seeking a TRICARE Product Manager to lead OptumHealth Physical Health's TRICARE implementation and support on-going product / program development including operational support.
 
Key Tasks/Responsibilities:
Support development of new capabilities, tools, and processes to allow OptumHealth Physical Health better serve UnitedHealth Military & Veterans Services (UMVS) program initiatives.  
 
This position will ensure that key accountabilities within functional areas are assigned and delivered for each part of the TRICARE implementation process and lead strategic business solutions supporting delivery of services.
 
Responsibilities include:
  • Partners with all levels of the organization to champion TRICARE implementation.

  • Serves as the primary interface with OptumHealth sales and growth teams for customer opportunities.

  • Sough-out expert for internal and external constituents, including internal and external health plans and UHG subsidiaries, on product capabilities.

  • Participates in creation of proposals and presentations to enable sale of supported products.

  • Identifies issues, analyzes, documents critical facts & presents recommendations to parties needed to reach consensus & decisions.

  • Assists in ideation and development for new capabilities based on market feedback or research.

  • Other activities as assigned.

Position is required to be in Golden Valley, MN location.


  • Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent work experience

  • 5+ years of business & marketing/product strategy

  • Understanding of Federal, Military Health Systems (TRICARE) is a plus

  • Working knowledge of online marketing trends & tools &/or health care market

  • Excellent communication & presentation skills

  • Understanding of healthcare products and networks is preferred

  • Strong ability to effectively interact with & influence all levels of the organization

  • Ability to prioritize & respond effectively to multiple demands, in an ever evolving organization

  • Creative & logical problem solving skills, strong analytical & situational assessment skills which are executed independently

  • Ability to travel up to 25%
