Truck Driver

AWP, a Division of Arch Aluminum who is one of North America’s largest architectural glass and aluminum fabricators and distributors, seeks truck drivers for the South Florida area.  AWP, established in 1958, manufactures both Aluminum and Vinyl impact and non-impact windows and doors focused on the requirements of the Florida Market.

 

Purpose:

 

Delivers merchandise to customers or any other designated area in a safe, timely manner and in good condition while maintaining a professional demeanor.

 

Duties:

 

1.      Maintain and care of company truck under the direction of Shipping Manager.

2.      Perform deliveries as scheduled by shipping to either job site for installation or directly to customer.

3.      Correctly marks invoices noting discrepancies, returns, shorts, etc.

4.      Loads and unloads trucks as required.

5.      Other duties as requested by Supervisor.

 

Qualifications:

 

1.      High school diploma or equivalent.

2.      Must possess and maintain valid CDL-A driver’s license with a minimum of three (3) years of tractor trailer driving experience.

3.      Excellent driving record.

4.      Must be able to pass DOT physical examination and criminal background check.

5.      Must be able to read, write and communicate in English proficiently.

6.      Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.

7.      Ability to communicate with customers either verbally or in writing.
