Position Summary:
Working under the supervision of the Truck Stop Supervisor, the Truck Stop Manager is responsible for directing and coordinating the overall store operations of a high-volume truck stop travel plaza. Secondarily supervising employees, managing inventory and promoting our services to customers while maximizing sales and profits.
Essential Responsibilities:
· Oversee the responsibilities of all assistant managers and employees.
· Govern employee’s hours to the set schedule and store operation budget.
· Work closely with store vendors and promote monthly sales and specials based on company objectives.
· Train, motivate, mentor and develop store level personnel within the store to meet company goals.
· Build an atmosphere which demonstrates pride in teamwork and in serving the customer.
· Ensure that Road Rangers company standards, procedures and policies are adhered to.
· Responsible for the safeguarding of the store, cash and inventory control.
· Responsible for store appearance.
· Complete all required paperwork accurately, neatly and timely as per company standards.
· Minimize controllable store expense by following company guidelines involving the handling spoilage, breakage and items that are for store use.
· Complete all other store tasks and activities assigned by your Truck Stop Supervisor in a prompt, cooperative, enthusiastic and accurate manner.
Job Requirements:
· Minimum 5 years in the truck stop travel plaza, convenience store, or retail industry.
· Minimum 3 years management experience preferred.
· Preferred Bachelors Degree.
· Strong work ethic.
· Strong communication skills.
· Excellent customer service skills and people oriented focus.
· Ability to deal with change.

· Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to properly lift, pull, and/or push up to 50 pounds in the sticking and merchandizing of the store inventory. Perform basic mathematical calculations. Must be able to stand up for an entire eight (8) hour shift. Standing, stooping and bending as necessary to stock and inventory merchandise.
