Candidates should have the following skills and experience:
- Knowledge of Motorola mobile and fixed equipment
- Knowledge of computers, audio, RF, digital and microprocessor electronic circuits found in communications equipment
- Ability to use a variety of test equipment such as a service monitor, spectrum analyzer, oscilloscope, multimeter, frequency counter, wattmeter, etc.
- Knowledge of conventional and trunked radio systems
- ETA certification is preferred
Job functions are not limited to but will include:
- Install
- Troubleshoot customer communications equipment and systems to determine which board or component is defective and replace as needed
- Performing various activities associated with company service vehicles, such as installing test equipment, maintaining repair parts supply and arranging vehicle service
- Repair equipment after being called for emergency work at any time of day or night (if on call)
