Job Summary

Responsible for theuser interface designand development of our customer-facing applications and websites with the aspiration to achieve industry-leading web design.  Provide information architecture direction, technological recommendations and transition strategies that support the development and implementation of our web development.  Will have business knowledge that provides the ability, when given business objectives and requirements for any project, to translate these into a cohesive and usable end product.  Specific duties include:

·          Design webpage interfaces including usability design, wireframes, detailed layout

·          Develop prototypes for team members and third party usability testing

·          Must meet deliverables on time and in high quality

·          Ensure the architectural solution and design adheres to all standards

·          Perform project-level design, debugging and performance analysis

·          Provide strategic planning and architectural recommendations for website solutions

·          Provide web solutions to solve business and technical needs

Required Skills

·          Strong working knowledge of Internet web design best practices

·          Ability to understand and work with the development team on key technical concepts of code development.

·          Ability to convert design concepts into implemented solutions through collaboration with project team

·          Knowledge of life cycle development methodologies

·          Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities

·          Expertise in using web development tools

·          Proficiency in HTML, CSS, XML, Javascript and Ajax and how they power web design

·          Aptitude to be at the forefront of applying sophisticated web technologies (HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, etc.)

·          Experience and deep understanding of usability and functional architecture aspects (i.e., information architecture, website taxonomies – template design and creation, etc.)

·          Exceptional written communication and presentation skills including the ability to engage different stakeholders in developing and implementing designs.

·          Experience with Government regulations, including Section 508 compliance, a plus

Education

·          BA/BS Degree in Design, Marketing or Internet Technology or related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

·          A minimum of three (3) years of experience in online application design and/or development.
