UNIX Systems Administrator Sr
Description:
Must meet contract level requirements for appropriate position. Candidates for this Columbia, MD position must have a technical background in diverse operating systems (UNIX/Windows/Vista), hardware platforms, and software packages. Unix knowledge and troubleshooting (Solaris 2.6 and 2.8); Unix server knowledge; Use and administration experience with MS Office Applications, Active Directory and Network and Internet Applications.
Must possess good communication and customer service skills; and must be a team player.
Applicants selected will be subject to government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Qualifications:
Excellent customer service and organizational skills are a must. Must be comfortable prioritizing the work of others based on established directions and guidelines. Must be able to work under moderate pressure and have good interpersonal skills. Must be an assertive individual with a great deal of flexibility, and the ability to adapt to frequently changing work volumes. Must be a team player. Experience with Remedy is preferred. Unix and/or NT system administration experience is desired. Some workflow management experience is preferred but not required.
