About the Job

What you will do

Enter/acknowledge customer orders in Order entry system the same day the order is received, pack and unpack materials; weighing and placing proper postage on packages or cartons, collaborate with regional sales force and other field staff to deliver premier customer service, load and unload trucks and carriers manually and/or with lift trucks, communicate daily with customers via phone, fax, e-mail, etc., work closely with other vital departments such as credit, billing, shipping, purchasing, technical service, marketing, etc., and other duties as assigned.

How you will do it

As a UPG Customer Service Representative you will Researches and processes credit and return requests, maintain warehouse in a clean and orderly condition, work from freight bills and packing lists from incoming trucks to process supplies, materials and equipment, provide same day responses to scheduled dates and backorder status of product, research and resolve customer complaints and issues, and provides customer assistance in locating and identifying replacement parts. 

What we look for


  • High School diploma or equivalent combined education and experience.

  • Ability to work effectively in a high-volume fast-paced environment.

  • Experience with HVAC parts and/or services

  • Proficiency in a Windows operating environment, including email and Microsoft Office software.

  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs several times daily.


  • Experience related to Customer Service and high volume calls.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and decision making abilities.

  • Effective and professional communication and organization skills.

  • Strong conflict resolution skills.

  • 1-2 years retail/inside sales experience

  • 1-2 years of Forklift experience.
