USAF Requirements Analyst

This position supports tasking at the Joint Strike Fighter Program Office (JSFPO) in Crystal City, VA. This position will provide support to the Air System Requirements Team across all aspects of the program lifecycle.  Primary duties will include: support for Headquarters Air Force (HAF)/A5R inputs to the PPBES process; research and provide expeditious responses to HAF/A5R requests for information/action (RFI/RFA); support of follow-on development activities; coordinate the diverse requirements inputs from all USAF requirements stakeholders (HAF/A5RC, SAF/AQPF, SAF/IA, HAF/A8, ACC/A8F, 33FW (AETC), AFOTEC, PACAF, USAFE, etc); review data as a Concept of Operations and Mission Systems Subject Matter Expert to support the Foreign Disclosure Office release of information;  deliver F-35 Capabilities briefings to USAF stakeholders; support of USAF SAP-level S&T incorporation into follow-on development.  Additionally, the position will support the production of various, periodic deliverables across the directorate in times of peak, parallel requirements.  Travel is required.

Education: A bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in operations research or engineering; a master’s degree is desirable.

Experience: Candidate must have at least six (6) years of military tactical aviation experience as a strike fighter aviator with operational expertise in aviation weapons, training and simulation in one or more of the following platforms: F-16C, F-18C/D, F-18E/F, F-15C, A-10 or F-15E. Candidate must also have been an instructor for one of these platforms. Desired experience includes: Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition program, preferably a Joint, Navy or Air Force aviation program office; active flying in a tactical platform previous two (2) years; military test pilot school graduate; and DAWIA/APDP level 2 certification or higher.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:  Candidate must have knowledge of and demonstrated experience with all aspects of the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) and the Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution System (PPBE). The successful candidate must have good communications skills, both written and verbal, be able to work independently and as a part of an Integrated Project Team, in a fast paced multi-tasking environment, servicing multiple customers with diverse needs. Overall, candidate must possess strong computer skills, and must be proficient with Microsoft Office productivity suite (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc).
