UX Engineer

UX Engineer

Monster is seeking a UX Engineer to join our Innovation Team, working on our next generation of web applications. We are looking for a talented programmer who is focused on the web and passionate about innovation, and who relishes the opportunity to work within a cross-disciplinary team that handles all phases of research, design, and software development. 

As part of our team you¹ll be joining an Agile and innovative group of diverse professionals, working on challenging, cutting edge projects. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with top professionals from a number of disciplines to create effective products. You will gain end-to-end exposure to the definition, design and development phases of product development. This position is based in Monster¹s new Technology Center in Cambridge, MA.

 Essential Functions:

  • Design, develop, and support next generation web apps.
  • Cross-disciplinary collaboration: you will be a key contributor to research and design as well as development.
  • Code enhancement & optimization, unit & integration testing.
  • You must be eager to learn and able to adapt.


Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 3 years of web software development experience is required.
  • Must have minimum of 1 year of experience developing Rich Internet Applications (RIAs).
  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
  • Expertise in object-oriented programming concepts is a must.
  • Must have solid understanding of existing and emergent web technologies.
  • Must have ability to collaborate in a cross-functional team.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
 
Preferred Skills:
  • Flex 3/AS3/Flash, C# .NET, or JS/jQuery/Ajax experience is preferred.
  • User Experience & Interaction Design capabilities is preferred.
